Boston, MA, 09/04/2013 (nysepost) – Technology giant Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) on Tuesday forwarded authorized invitations to a September 10 occasion at which it is likely to reveal the latest edition of the iPhone, probably in different colors as compared to its trademark black and white.

“This should cheer up everybody’s day,” the typically puzzling invitation read, under graphic describing pastel-colored circles encompassing a stark white Apple symbol.

The firm, which is making a concentrated attempt to convince consumers in the Asian markets where competitors Samsung Electronics Co Ltd and other Android makers rule, stated in the invitation that it will host a breakfast as well as presentation at its Cupertino, California HQ.

The firm did not spell out as to what the demonstration will be about.

However supply chain sources stated during the month of June that Apple is likely to roll out 2 new models in 2013 – broadly named as the iPhone 5S – with novel fingerprint technology plus a cheaper edition in plastic case.

Apple proposes to revamp the handset in a variety of 5-6 color patterns with the aim to distinguish it from the pricier model, which has customarily come only in black and white, as per the sources.

Analysts said that the company requires a reasonable handset to drive faster expansion in zones such as like China as well as India, and to defy Samsung’s edge in having a wide variety of devices at changing rates.

Growth in Asian zone is witnessed as key for smartphone manufacturers. China’s smartphone zone, for example, is ready to nurture 48% in 2013, surpassing the worldwide augmentation of 31%, according to industry estimates.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) bags 41 copyrights comprising Kinect-like feature

Apple Inc. has bagged 41 novel copyrights comprising a Kinect-like characteristic, which will permit hand gesture controls. The tech company pocketed the copyrights from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
