What Beans Does Donald Trump Have on Ted Cruz's Wife?
Mar 31 2016
Cruz's wife is a former Goldman Sachs investment manager and White House aide, who served as economic policy adviser to President George W. Bush. Trump responded by falsely accusing Cruz of running the ad and warning, "Be careful, Lyin' Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!"
"Donald Trump doesn't scare Heidi remotely".
He added, "He's willing to attack anyone and everyone".
The National Enquirer broke the story on March 25, claiming Cruz had been unfaithful to his wife Heidi on more than one occasion with "a foxy political consultant and a high-placed D.C. attorney", just to name a few. The tweet was in response to an advertisement from an outside group opposed to Trump's candidacy that featured a risqué photo of Trump's wife, Melania.
Kelly has been a frequent target of Trump's Twitter tirades.
Cruz denied having anything to do with the image, which was part of an attack by an anti-Trump Super PAC, Make America Awesome.
"I have no idea whether or not the cover story about Ted Cruz in this week's issue of the National Enquirer is true or not, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it, did not know about it, and have not, as yet, read it", Trump, 45, said in a lengthy statement. Or, you could support Ted Cruz on Tuesday.
After Cruz was taped questioning Trump's judgement at a fundraiser in NY, he was again quick to reassert that Trump was "terrific", and accused the media of trying to set the two candidates off against each other. "Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life", Cruz said in a post on Twitter early on Thursday.
Now, as Cruz and much of the rest of the Republican Party try to keep Trump from getting the majority of delegates he needs to win the GOP nomination without a fight at this summer's convention in Cleveland, it's tough to imagine Cruz voting for Trump, much less campaigning for him in a general election.
"In no shape or form are we related to it", she said. Ted Cruz said he had nothing to do with the ad. Trump called Cruz a liar.
While most reports in the National Enquirer are taken with a grain of salt, the tabloid accurately revealed an extramarital affair by 2008 Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards while his wife was battling cancer.
