We die together, Will Smith laugh off wife's affair with August Alsina

August Alsina reacts to Jada Pinkett Smith's confession about their shocking romance

The couple admitted they were going through a "difficult time", and had "broken up" at the time to figure out how to make themselves happy. Both she and her husband were confused by the timing of Alsina's discussion, since they said they have moved on years ago. It all started with him just needing some help.

Jada said she hadn't spoken to "Aug" in a long time, but she empathized with him. "E be like say you dey mad say I no send you, but your "friends" na di reason for dat.Dey show me plenti-plenti thread of text/pictures of me wey you send, dey worry about who I date and beg me not to disturb your mental instability". "U absolutely right.I was NEVER ur man", he proclaimed, adding, "You could possibly never shortie".

Pinkett Smith explains the situation from her perspective, saying that she and Smith got to a point where they separated completely before she had an "entanglement" with Alsina.

The couple has been in the news after Alsina told The Breakfast Club's Angela Yee that he had an affair with Jada with the blessing of her husband. This intimate interaction between the couple and the revelation comes after Alsina's claims that Will Smith gave him a "blessing" for his relationship with the latter's wife.

"But what August was actually trying to communicate because I could actually see how he would perceive it as permission because we were separated amicably". Jada Pinkett countered that she was broken and was in pain.

"From there as time went on I got into a different kind of entanglement with August. I devoted myself to it". "We did everything possible to get away from each other only to realise that it wasn't possible", she explained.

The two were able to fix their relationship with Pinkett Smith saying, "We have really gotten to that new place of unconditional love".

"I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation", Alsina said during the interview.

Speaking in a recent review, Variety's Caroline Framke said: "It's a ideal distillation of what "Red Table Talk" and the Pinkett-Smiths do best: dissecting a controversial topic with meticulous consideration, an eye for relating it back to the audience, and just enough intrigue to keep people guessing as to what's truly going through their heads". "It is a little weird that all this stuff is coming out now", she said. "Bad marriage for life". "Jada, Jennifer, me, him, for years..."

Will said: "For me, this was yeaaars ago".

Will said that while some people might find it unusual that the two of them were able to talk about their time apart, they've spent years talking through it in therapy and just in life.

One fan tweeted, "Didn't jada [cheat] with Marc Anthony when they was on hawthorn together or I'm making it up?"

Jada has been married to Will since 1997, they are parents to Jaden and daughter Willow, 19.
