Veterans Day Parade to close Nashville roads Wednesday morning

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police officials are warning of road closures with the 2015 Veterans Day parade Wednesday.

This year's parade will commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, and the 25th anniversary of Desert Shield.

Those parade route streets and immediate side streets will close at 9:45 a.m.

Commerce Street between 2nd and 4th Avenues and 3rd Avenue from Church Street to Korean Veterans Boulevard will be closed at 10:30 a.m. to allow for dispersal of parade elements.

The parade staging area is off Clinton Avenue in downtown Huntsville.

The parade isn't the only event planned for November 11.

The Broadway exit from Interstate 40 will be closed at 9:30 a.m.

Murfreesboro: The 19th annual Veterans Day memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on the Public Square near the War Memorial Monument. The parade continues west on Liberty Street toward Montgomery Street. The Patriot's Mosaic is produced in part through a partnership with the Madison County Commission.

The United States Navy is the featured military branch at the parade. The music starts at 12:30 p.m.
