Trump on Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell: 'I wish her well'

'But I wish her well whatever it is, ' he said.
After reminding her colleagues about Maxwell's role in Epstein's criminal acts, McCain went off on how Trump's comments "completely blew up any conversation we're having about the coronavirus".
He said the comments show an order is necessary to prevent "prejudicial pre-trial publicity by the government, its agents, and lawyers for alleged witnesses" against Maxwell, the ex-girlfriend of financier Jeffrey Epstein. She pleaded not guilty last week to charges that she recruited three girls, one as young as 14, in the 1990s for Epstein to sexually abuse during massage sessions she sometimes participated in at his Manhattan mansion and in Palm Beach in Florida, Santa Fe, New Mexico and London.
Donald Trump said he "wished Ghislaine Maxwell well" in a stunning intervention in the case against the British socialite accused of recruiting young girls for Jeffrey Esptein. After a reporter asked him about Maxwell, Trump simply replied, "I just wish her well, frankly".
"I don't know the situation with Prince Andrew". After making the statement that he wishes her 'well, ' Twitter erupted in disgust. "I'm just not aware of it".
Epstein associated with many high-profile figures in politics and business over the years, including Mr Trump, former president Bill Clinton, and Britain's Prince Andrew.
It also alleged she lied during a 2016 deposition in a civil case.
She was denied bail and will remain in custody, following lengthy arguments in which prosecutors painted her as a flight risk.
Judge Alison Nathan said the evidence now "appears strong" against Ms Maxwell, who faces up to 35 years in prison if convicted.
She is being held without bail in NY as she awaits trial. And, I guess, they lived in Palm Beach. She has been held in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since July 6.
Maxwell, the daughter of late newspaper baron Robert Maxwell, pleaded not guilty in a NY court last week to six counts relating to Epstein's alleged sex crimes.
