Tiffany Trump announces engagement to Nigerian-bred fiancé Michael Boulos

Her fiance is Michael Boulos, CNN reports.

"It has been an [honour] to celebrate many milestones, historic occasions and create memories with my family here at the White House, none more special than my engagement to my awesome fiancé Michael!" the president's fourth child wrote. "Feeling blessed and excited for the next chapter".

Just a few months go, Tiffany's mother Marla Maples gushed on her Instagram Stories that Michael is "like a son" to her.

According to Town & Country, the couple began dating in autumn of 2018. The first family will vacate the White House on Wednesday morning shortly before the inauguration of Democrat Joe Biden as the 46th American president later tomorrow afternoon.

Michael Boulos was born in Lebanon, but he was raised in Lagos, Nigeria. The timing if the announcement was notable considering it is her father's last full day in office. "Looking forward to our next chapter together", he wrote.

Sources revealed to Page Six that Michael proposed in the Rose Garden at the White House. He also commented on his fiancee's post, writing, "Love you honey". He is a director at SOCA Nigeria and Groupe Fadoul Afrique (Fadoul Group).

Boulos has shown great support over the years for her fiancée's father and 45th president of the United States.

President Donald Trump and his wife Melania are planning to retire at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, after they leave White House life behind in January. He was previously spotted by her side while the president was campaigning and also attended multiple political events together with the First Family.

The 57-year-old actress also responded on Instagram to congratulate them shortly after news of her daughter's engagement went public.
