The Ghost Inside Stars Involved In Fatal Tour Bus Crash

The Ghost Inside band members, Andrew Tkaczykt, 28, Jonathan Vigil and Zach Johnson, 28, received serious injuries and were transported to University Medical Center via helicopter.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says the accident occurred on US 62/180 east of El Paso around 9:15 a.m. MST Thursday.

According to its tour schedule, the band played in Lubbock, Texas, on Wednesday and was due to play in Phoenix on Friday.

The news first emerged when a passing truck driver sent images of the accident to radio station KFMX, describing members of the band and crew being removed from their bus and claiming the occupants of the second vehicle did not survive.

Reported dead in the bus/semi collision is the Ghost Inside's bus driver Gregory Hoke and semi truck driver Steven Cunningham.

According to a statement issued on the group's Facebook page, all five members of The Ghost Inside, plus the band's crew, are alive and being treated for injuries.

Ten more people sustained serious injuries, including members of the band. Refunds available at point of purchase.

AP has reached out to a representative from the band and is awaiting further comment. Billboard reports Tkaczyk suffered head trauma and broken bones. He is now in ICU and may require surgery.

The band set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for expenses.

Bring Me The Horizon have stepped up to the plate for TGI, who they describe as their good friends and donated 10,000 dollars towards the campaign.
