Liverpool FC v SSC Napoli- Pre Season Friendly

Real Madrid's Gareth Bale has emerged as a surprise second-choice while Thiago Alcantara of Bayern Munich is another option apparently being considered.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have so far been reluctant to accept Real Madrid's buy-back clause demands for Sergio Reguilon.

Manchester United have begun to evaluate alternatives to Jadon Sancho according to a report from the online edition of British newspaper The Telegraph. Recent reports from Spain revealed that the renowned manager is overseeing the Madrid-United negotiations for Reguilon's transfer with "patience" as he is aiming for a shock move in the future.

Gareth Bale does not want to leave Real Madrid on loan because they have found ways to offload him. He has already said that Bale, who has two years left on his contract, was "going nowhere".

Tottenham have explored the idea of trying to lure Bale back to Premier League in previous seasons - but this is the closest they have gone to making a deal a reality.

It has been reported the Spanish club would be willing to pay some of that salary to finally move on from their troubled relationship with the forward.

Bale has won four Champions League titles with Real, but he has a reputation for uninterestedness as well as poor fitness.

Bale started just one match when the 2019-20 La Liga season resumed, playing a mere 100 minutes as Real clinched a first title since 2017, where he was conspicuously on the fringes of the team's celebrations.

Jose Mourinho accused his Tottenham players of "lazy pressing" during the Everton game and is believed to be keen on shaking up his squad with several more signings.
