Rand Paul Invokes Paris Attack to Swipe at Rubio on Immigration

Who should we let into our country?

Presidential rivals Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Sen.

"I think [intelligence programs are] a distinctive issue of the debate in the presidential race", Rubio said. "As President, I will take immediate steps to pass legislation or a constitutional amendment to end birthright citizenship".

Obama says there has not been enough pushback by Muslim leaders against extremism.

Carson also was asked about Trump comparing him to a sex offender because of his pathological violence as a youth.

"You allow 10,000 [and] one of them is a well-trained ISIS fighter, and you got a huge problem on your hands", he said. "Or pathological liar? We don't need either as president".

Rubio has argued that any future stab at reform has to "modernize" legal immigration. The ad claims that Rubio tried to shut down Cruz's efforts to make the bill more conservative.

Both camps blame the other for the GOP's lack of success - except for George W. Bush - over the past two-plus decades. It's unclear from the context whether "every amendment" means every border security amendment proposed by Cruz and Republican Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), or every amendment ever proposed.

"We're exhausted of politicians who blow smoke. Paul is talking about", Conant said.

"Sometimes they say it one way on English stations and another way on Spanish stations", Cruz said. The Tea Party favorite, however, did not mention a strategy to deal with the 11 million undocumented immigrants that now reside on USA soil illegally.

His comments reflect increased tension between not only Rubio and Paul, but also between Rubio and Sen.

"One of the lessons we should learn from the tragedy in Paris is that we have to be very careful and very cautious, extraordinarily cautious, about who comes to visit, who emigrates here and who studies here", Paul said in his speech to Republican activists. Chuck Schumer is to block any amendments to the Senate's immigration bill, including Paul's own. "But we're in a presidential cycle now, and we want to make sure that every Republican across the country knows that he blocked conservative amendments to the immigration bill, and in particular, my amendment did provide more scrutiny on people who might be coming here to attack us". He would also immediately identify and deport immigrants convicted of crimes.

"This isn't just an attack on France or Paris this is an attack on freedom and free people everywhere".

Kasich is scheduled to speak this afternoon.

And he laid out his top three priorities as president, what he'd spend his political capital on: Rebuilding the U.S. Defense, in part by eliminating the sequester; doing "everything possible to ensure that America fulfills its potential in the 21st century economy", which includes Obamacare repeal, tax reform, regulatory reform, full utilization of our energy resources & entitlement reform.
