Pogba admits he's 'really, really happy', with Solskjaer 'hopeful' of contract extension

Why have Manchester United offered Nemanja Matic such a long contract

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not seek huge funds for transfers this summer due to the economic realities of the coronavirus crisis, but is keen for the club to tie down Paul Pogba to a long-term contract.

The France global is forming a promising midfield duo with Bruno Fernandes since the Premier League returned after the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

"I can't comment on discussions between players and the club but of course we want to keep the best players", Solskjaer said per Sky Sports. But we also need players in the mid-range group. I know that since he came back from injury Paul has been better.

"He's enjoying his football and let's see where it takes us."

Pogba has entered the final year of his deal, although the club hold an option to extend until 2022.

The 27-calendar year-previous Globe Cup victor has been linked with moves to equally his former club Juventus and True Madrid.

"We've been saying the previous year or two that Pogba needs to take more of a lead with the team", Keane said. I think he'll enjoy that Harry Maguire has come into the club, showing different leadership skills.

"We play more as a team than we did before, we enjoy it even more, we defend together, we attack together, and this team is stronger as well", he said.

'Every time any player plays against Man United it's a challenge because first of all Man United is a good team but also the whole world is watching.

"I you should not assume small time period, I constantly think extended expression and test to make excellent promotions. All this together has put us where we are today".

"With the players that we have that can provide the passes with Paul and Bruno, the creativity that we've got in the team now is exciting".

"We know that they (Rashford, Martial and Greenwood) can score goals, we know that they've got pace, energy, they're youthful, they'll learn, they'll improve", added Solskjaer.

The former Juventus man isn't expected to score goals or get assists on a weekly basis from such a position but he managed to do so well vs Villa. You have to keep this mentality, keep a clean sheet too.

Man United's Mason Greenwood is yet another homegrown talent who is all set to make it big and many people think that he is one of the best graduates, that the club's academy has proved in recent decades.
