President Donald Trump voted in the 2020 general election early and in-person in his home state of Florida on Saturday.

Those who have tested positive and need their ballots notarized also can use the special drive-thru hours on Saturdays.

Chief electoral officer Anton Boegman says that 13-day period may be extended depending on how quickly electoral staff are able to handle the significant increase in vote-by-mail packages this year.

The state supreme court declined to extend the voting deadline to allow absentee votes postmarked by Election Day to be counted. Those advance votes will be tallied on election day. That's less than four-tenths of one percent of all absentee ballots returned so far.

On the final day before voters head to the polls in BC's provincial election, Elections BC says over 1.1 million votes have already been cast by way of returned mail-in ballots and advance voting this past week. Missouri officials only count late absentee ballots sent in by active duty military members and their immediate family. Ballot mishaps can be corrected by visiting the Election Tent and getting a new ballot or voting in person. Officials encourage voters casting a mail-in ballot to return it as soon as possible.

That means 11.5% of registered voters have already voted.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court recently ruled that absentee ballots in the state could be counted up to the Friday after Election Day.

According to Elections BC, 681,055 voters cast their ballot in advance polls this past week.

Signature matching is considered a key check in many states that run elections through the mail, and election officials are trained in how to spot matches and to question signatures that don't appear to match.

"In 2017, out of the total number of registered voters in BC, approximately 62% participated in the election - close to two million voters", he furthered. Mail-in ballots must be received by Elections BC no later than 8 p.m. on October 24, and can be dropped off at a voting location.

Early in-person voting starts today.

"Restrictions placed on mail-in balloting do not violate the fundamental right to vote because mail-in balloting is not a fundamental right under the Missouri Constitution", Circuit Judge Daniel Green wrote in his decision.
