Microsoft has not commented on these reports at this time.

The tech company is on its way to announcing the new Microsoft Lumia 940, its upcoming tablet the Surface Pro 4 and the Microsoft Band 2. Although not exactly set in stone or infallible, since Microsoft can't exactly dictate the hardware unlike Apple, the list does reveal what the company has in mind when it envisions how Windows 10 will be spreading to consumers. Closed platforms also restrict consumers and open sources make devices too much vulnerable, a midway such as the one provided by Windows is probably what users require at the moment.

It's interesting that Microsoft doesn't have a category for "Premium Phablet", even though that's the category the rumored/leaked Lumia 950 XL would likely fall into, since it has the specs of a Premium Phone, but a 5.7 inch display. The device will reportedly feature a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display, Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage, as well as a microSD slot.

A new report now suggests that Microsoft is busy working on another, possibly mid-range, device called Lumia 750. The 950, on the other hand, has a Snapdragon 808 64-bit Hexa-core processor and 3000mAh battery.

There's also the presence of virtual buttons at the bottom of the screen which leads us to believe that the 950XL may not come with the capacitive buttons usually found on higher-end Windows Phone devices. It is also said to have a long lasting battery life with its 3,000 mAh removable battery. The current model looks like the tag device you are giving when you have been in trouble with the police, and so it was clear a design change was needed. Recommended hardware for these tablets naturally vary wildly, but Microsoft is drawing the line at screen size. As for the camera, a 20 megapixels PureView rear camera is expected, along with a 5 megapixels front snapper. Other common features of both flagships include USB Type-C connector, Qi-wireless charging support and support for iris scanner through Windows Hello feature of Windows 10 Mobile, Windows Central reported.
