The most recent death was a 90-year-old woman who died from COVID-19 complications, according to the release.

The health district has now reported 647 cases to date, according to its news release.

DCHD reported Monday that "just less than 22% of tests administered last week were positive, marking the second week of positive test results topping the 20% mark".

There have been a total of 66,465 negative COVID-19 tests in Iowa.

The United States has more than 1.2 million confirmed cases - the most reported cases of any nation - with at least 75,477 deaths. Gov. Tim Walz had stated his goal was to test 5,000 people a day. Health officials say they are working closely with the state of Missouri to assure proper quarantine. 472 of those are in long-term care or assisted living facilities.

Benton County added five confirmed cases for a total of 92 and two deaths. Of those hospitalized, 194 were in the ICU.

There are also 7,536 people who have fully recovered and are out of isolation.
