Jackson County Public Health said that it has seen several remarkably high-case days within the past week, and set a weekly record for new cases.
The 39 new deaths increased the countywide total from throughout the pandemic to 6,912.
There have also been 88 cases recorded in B.C. among people who live outside of Canada.
Lyon County Public Health has reactivated the school cluster category after one cluster developed. Others, however, were falling short, with almost half failing to post detailed information about the protocols enacted at the business.
Another death has been linked to COVID-19 in Manitowoc County.
An Austin woman in her 90s died from COVID-19, the Hays County Local Health Department reported Tuesday.
That's up 1,586 cases and 22 deaths since Monday.
244 in Dublin, 104 in Galway, 98 in Cork, 92 in Meath and the remaining 528 cases are spread across all remaining counties. The percentage of respiratory specimens testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 has increased to 11.3% of symptomatic patients presenting to area hospitals testing positive in week 41 (week ending 10/10/20). Fox Valley region hospitals reported 131 total patients, a drop of seven in a day and 19 in a week. A county with less than one case per 100,000 people is considered on track and is signified by the color green on the state map. "But we also see that people of all ages can unfortunately become tragically ill and some people will pass away".
The county's health department posted Wednesday on Facebook it had reached six deaths but provided no other details, stating, "We respect the confidentiality of the family during their bereavement and encourage others to do the same".

Prior to October, the county had reported only three deaths attributed to the disease since March.
