Lottery draw hit by 'technical glitch'

Nobody wins National Lottery after an awkward technical glitch live on air

The draw for Saturday's £12.9 million jackpot took place within an hour and in the presence of an independent adjudicator.

A spokeswoman for National Lottery operator Camelot said the drawmaster had signalled that it meant the draw could not proceed.

And if having to wait for the results wasn't disappointing enough, nobody won the jackpot - 49, 50, 34, 43, 03 and 02, Bonus Ball 38.

Set of balls 1 and draw machine Arthur was used. There were 70 players that matched five of the main numbers to win £1,616 each and 4,841 players matched four of the main numbers to win £150 each. There was one winner of the raffle tier 1 that won £1 million and 20 winners of raffle tier 2 that won £20,000 each.

The Thunderball draw did take place as planned, with the numbers being: 06, 11, 13, 25 and 36.
