The Sun reports that the girls have been quietly meeting with new managers, agents, and industry bosses and that Jesy is also in talks over plans for her own solo career which will resume as soon as she's feeling better. However, Jones did not go into detail about the particular health concern that's plaguing Nelson.

A statement reads: "Jesy is having extended time off from Little Mix for private medical reasons. We will not be issuing any further comment now and ask media to please respect her privacy at this time", the group said, via their publicist Simon Jones PR.

Several netizens were sad upon hearing Nelson's hiatus.

Outside of the band, Jesy won a National Television Award for her work on a historical TV documentary called Odd One Out that deals with cyberbullying and struggles with body image.

"I was always known as the ugly one".

Before Jesy Nelson's health issues, the group's talent show was forced to take a break last month after crew members tested positive for Covid-19.

She said: "A producer that we worked with at the start said to us, 'When one woman walks into a room, a few heads turn".

According to a source, the Beeb sees the 27-year-old beauty as "a young Davina McCall" and hope to find some suitable roles for her. The rep announced her absence at the MTV EMA's a day before the event, E!

She also made a good impression as a guest judge on RuPaul's Drag Race in 2019.

Nelson said she started seeing a therapist and had since reclaimed her happiness and confidence.

"I remember going to the kitchen, and I just took as many tablets as I could. Everyone's always going to have an opinion, you can't stop that", she said.

Nelson recognized the importance of social media and how it can build or destroy a person.

"There must be so many women and girls that feel not good in themselves and are struggling with mental illness, and I thought if I've overcome it, I want people to know there is a light at the end of the tunnel", she said on the U.K.'s Lorraine a year ago.

Little Mix's representative denied rumors that the group is breaking up.

Mixers, as the group's fans are dubbed, shared words of support for Nelson.
