Bayern Munich is expected to pay almost Euro 50 million to sign a five-year deal with Sane.
While the Bundesliga campaign ended last weekend with Bayern defending the title, the Premier League runs until the end of July after being suspended for three months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Unfortunately for ManchesterCity, the Frenchman isn't thought to be keen on a move right now, feeling settled at Bayern Munich.
Therefore the deal can be seen as good business for the club who signed the player from Schalke for £37m in 2016.
He was a key part of the team that won a domestic treble a year ago but has been injured for much of this season.
"It's not already done, there are still some little issues, but it looks like he'll go to Munich".
Bayern were rumoured to have been interested in bringing the winger back to the Bundesliga past year, however they were said to be unwilling to match City's asking price. I think we have other priorities, maybe.
"Leroy said he does not want to extend the contract next season so it means he wants to leave and it is going to happen this summer or at the end of the contract", he said. "I love him so much, he's incredible, I've nothing against him - he wants another adventure". "We wish him all the best, big thanks for our years together".
"First of all, there was a team that was better, they played at an outstanding level in every game and you have to do more", he said.
However, his only appearance was for 11 minutes as a substitute in the 5-0 win against Burnley last Monday.
