'Lady Bird' Is Rotten Tomatoes' Best Reviewed Film Of All Time

Lady Bird movie has proved that it can equal other commercial movies. It now sits behind Alien and is followed by The Philadelphia Story. And more than that, they're deserving of attention - not just at the box office, but with critics and at awards shows, too. Directed by Greta Gerwig Lady Bird is welcomed with a huge hug by the audience as well.

"This is completely incredible and so incredibly appreciated by the entire team that made Lady Bird", Gerwig told Rotton Tomatoes.

She continued, "That there has been such a warm reception is a dream come true".

With all that we have at our fingertips, it's all the more important that we don't waste our time on content we don't like, and Rotten Tomatoes has been crucial in making that easier for us. The movie received a standing ovation at the Toronto International Film Festival while Ronan and Metcalf were also lauded for their brilliant performances.

The film is due for Irish release on February 16th, 2018.

It was a marvelous run for the charming Pixar animated classic, but the crowning of a new champion is an even more exciting triumph for filmmaker Greta Gerwig, a 34-year-old writer and actress who made Lady Bird as her directorial debut.

"The movie's Tomatometer score will be subject to change as it continues to platform from limited release, likely into the next year", Rotten Tomatoes editor Alex Vo wrote in an article explaining the new record. The other films to get a ideal Fresh rating on the Tomatometer were only reviewed a few times. According to review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes the film has officially become the best ever reviewed film on the site, beating Toy Story 3 to the top spot.
