She tells Letterman, "Trust me, everyone called me and said, 'Don't you dare step foot in that White House or your reputation is done'".
While her husband is of course actually running for President, Kim Kardashian has been doing work with current President Donald Trump's administration for criminal justice reform and freeing the wrongfully imprisoned.
"When we first started, there was no Instagram or Snapchat or other social media platforms", she explained.
She said: "Oh, it was honestly the most emotional day". She also touched up the infamous O.J. Simpson murder trial, which she says had a significant effect on her family dynamic.

The TV star, who is now studying to become a lawyer in California and has made subsequent visits to the White House, went on to say: 'Well, I have no idea what you just said'. Sometimes we just need a break.
"We didn't want to hurt one of our parents' feelings", Kardashian West said.
Kim says the trial "tore [their] family apart". I understood it - it is a lot to ask to have cameras in your lives for 13 years. Having to be with four kids and not have their friends or their routines and no help.
