Jay Cutler Out At Least 2 Weeks With Hamstring Injury
Sep 29 2015
As of Monday, Bears coach John Fox hasn't said Cutler had suffered a strained hamstring that he categorized as "not real severe", according to an ESPN report. Pace still has his eye on the long-term success of the franchise, and Cutler's hamstring won't impact that at all.
"It takes a while to run tests". If Cutler is your starting QB, you're probably already in a bad place.
Clausen was 14-23 for 121 yards with an interception and no touchdowns after stepping in for Cutler late in the second quarter of an eventual 48-23 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
"Just got to get more comfortable with those guys and communicating well", Clausen said.
Fitzgerald has been Palmer's favorite target - with 1,636 yards and 15 touchdowns - since the quarterback joined the team back in 2013.
Johnson's kickoff return for a touchdown was the first by the Cardinals since LaRod Stephens-Howling did so on September 26, 2010 against the Raiders, and it was the longest play in Cardinals history, surpassing Roy Green's 106-yard kickoff return in 1979. "I've seen guys not practice all week and play pretty good on Sundays".
While the offensive game plan will not change that much with Clausen under center, the Bears will get their money's worth with Forte over the next two weeks.

Arians seemed like a logical choice to replace the fired Lovie Smith as Chicago's coach when he interviewed at Halas Hall in January 2013.
Once Clausen entered the game, the Bears' offense unraveled. 170 yards in penalties...they know that can't happen this Sunday against Seattle.
The game started on an ominous note, with Cardinals rookie David Johnson returning the opening kickoff 108 yards for a touchdown. Now, the Bears could be missing their quarterback when they visit the defending NFC champion Seahawks.
Arizona's running game may be the biggest question mark regarding the Cardinals this week. I'm nearly as emotionally detached after week two as I was at the end of last season.
Fox said the Bears have not decided if they will add a quarterback this week. The Bears also got a pair of field goals in the final minute of the half, thanks to a fumble recovery on a punt and an interception by Jared Allen.
The shame of Cutler's injury is two-fold. LB LaMarr Woodley also hurt his shoulder, but returned.... He scored on a 13-yard run in the fourth quarter for his first rushing touchdown of the season.
