Graham Seeking New Probe Into Origin of FBI’s Russia Investigation Before Election

I don't expect Mr. Durham's work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man.
Trump and Obama have met only once in person since Inauguration Day, at the funeral for former President George H.W. Bush in December 2018. "He's done his job, we got the Mueller report, we're going to do this by October", he said.
There are 53 names on the list, including former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey, former CIA director John Brennan, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, former national intelligence director James Clapper, former Federal Bureau of Investigation deputy director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates.
For the past 40 years, it has been a tradition for the interim president to host a ceremony in the East Room during his first term, for the presentation of the official portrait of his immediate predecessor that will hang in the halls of the White House forever.
Graham is seeking authority to subpoena documents for 53 top Obama administration officials, as part of the committee's FISA abuse investigation and oversight of the FBI's Crossfire Hurricane investigation, he announced on Monday. The committee will also investigate the unmasking requests made by Obama administration officials against Flynn.
The senator's request comes days after the acting director of national intelligence, Richard Grenell, released a list of names of Obama-era officials who potentially received intelligence reporting connected to Michael Flynn, Trump's first national security adviser, in the months following the 2016 election. Former Vice President Joe Biden, Brennan, and Comey were among the names on the list. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, is also moving forward with a committee vote this week to subpoena a public affairs firm that worked with Ukrainian energy company Burisma, the firm that hired Biden's son, Hunter Biden.
Trump has escalated his attacks on his predecessor in recent weeks, falsely blaming him for the country's COVID-19 testing crisis and peddling a conspiracy theory that baselessly accuses Obama of committing an undefined "political crime" (of which Trump has provided zero evidence or details). They include the Durham investigation itself, which arguably duplicates an investigation by the Justice Department's inspector general that failed to establish a political motive for the Russian Federation investigation.
