Fresh Prince of Bel-Air home opens as Airbnb

The home, which is being billed as "fly", will begin taking bookings here on Airbnb on September 29 at 11 a.m. PDT for groups of two Los Angeles County residents.

The house used in exterior shots of the show will be available to book for one-night stays starting in early October.

It's all in celebration of the show's 30th anniversary this year.

It's been 30 years since Will Smith rolled up the driveway and knocked on the door of this iconic LA crib for the very first time.

Guests will be staying in what would have been Will's room and bathroom and have full access to the pool, lounge and dining room. "And this time, I'm handing you the keys so you'll have my wing of the mansion all to yourself - but my sneaker collection is off limits, aight?"

According to the Airbnb description, guests will get to, '[shoot] some b-ball, ' in the bedroom.

Smith, who announced a reboot of the series last week, said he is working with the mansion's owners to invite fans in for a stay. The Fresh Prince actor notes that whilst guests will not have access to a kitchen, all meals will be provided and served on a silver platter.

It's bad news for anyone who lives outside of Los Angeles, however. Interested fans will be able to request bookings on 29 September 2020, 11am PT.

The announcement comes after he shared photos from HBO Max's The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air cast reunion special.

The Airbnb website describes it as "The Freshest Los Angeles Mansion Around" which is "hosted by Will".

It also listed out the perks of the stay to include being (virtually) welcomed to the mansion by DJ Jazzy Jeff, Smith's best friend both on and off the show.

It's also for a good cause: "Airbnb will make a one-time donation to. the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia, a program that supports youth, including those in greatest need, by offering development and skill-building programs, recreational activities and empowerment tools".
