FDA Commissioner Enters Self-Quarantine After Exposure To Coronavirus

Hahn immediately took a diagnostic test and was tested negative himself for the novel coronavirus, FDA spokesman Michael Felberbaum said in an emailed statement. "He will be teleworking for the next two weeks", a CDC spokesperson told CNN. He is "feeling fine" and has no symptoms, the statement added.
The FDA and CDC have not disclosed the identity of the person who had tested positive and with whom the agency leaders came into contact. Per (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) guidelines, he is now in self-quarantine for the next two weeks.
Both men will testify by video - "due to these unusual circumstances" - at Tuesday's Senate Health Committee hearing about the government response to COVID-19. Hahn and Redfield will also testify but via videoconference.
