Dubai begins inoculations with Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine

The county received 1,900 doses of the Moderna vaccine yesterday (12/22), adding to the 875 doses of the Pfizer vaccine received on December 15.

South Korea said in early December that it had signed deals to provide coronavirus vaccines for 44 million people next year but it would not hurry inoculation to allow more time to observe potential side effects.

"We are excited to continue this crucial process of getting vaccine out to our highest priority recipients in front-line health care positions with the Moderna vaccines received", Liane Jollon, SJBPH executive director, said in a statement.

Earlier this week, Moderna's coronavirus vaccine candidate began being administered to Americans.

Health officials in Prince Edward Island said Wednesday they expected to get their first shipment of the Moderna vaccine before the end of the month.

We are working hard to get vaccines to people as quickly as possible.

"Our first delivery will be 7,200 doses, which is enough to vaccinate 3,600 Yukoners, as Moderna requires two doses delivered one month apart", said Frost in the release.

"We have already tested the vaccine against around 20 other virus variants with other mutations", he said.

In a statement, Scott Price, president, UPS International, said, "We are pleased with the news that the European Medicines Agency has authorised the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine".

Currently, Colorado is in Phase 1-A of the distribution process with both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines being given to health care workers.

"Today's authorization is a critical step in ensuring additional COVID-19 vaccines are available to all Canadians in all parts of the country". Many workers and community members who are on the frontlines and can not work remotely have had a disproportionate risk of exposure to the virus and will also be important to reach earlier.

Set to receive 700 doses of the vaccine, Berkeley will prioritize health care workers and individuals who work in environments where there is at risk of exposure to COVID-19, in accordance with guidelines established by the California Department of Public Health.

Albert Bourla, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pfizer said with additional doses, the United States will be able to protect more individuals amid the pandemic.

The Moderna vaccine needs to be stored at regular freezer temperatures, but not the ultra-cold required for Pfizer-BioNTech's shot.
