Douglas County announces more than 200 coronavirus cases

Anand says the delays this week in receiving Pfizer-BioNTech doses won't knock the government off its goal of getting all Canadians a vaccine who want one by September.

Twenty-six people died of the virus over the weekend, bringing the provincial COVID-19 death toll to 1,154.

To date, the province says it has given more than 34, 000 vaccine shots.

According to the state's data, 1,431,089 people in Texas have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 247,428 are fully vaccinated.

"Provincial governments have provided some additional support, but the unevenness of provincial responses suggests differences in fiscal capacity and political orientations - which is even more reason for a strong federal response", reads the report.

In Linn County, 13,188 doses had been administered to county residents, as of Friday, with 2,315 people having completed the two-shot regimen.

Officials from Ontario's Vaccine Distribution Task Force say the interval between doses for residents will remain at its three-week recommendation.

Henry provided an update on B.C.'s vaccine supply on Monday while reporting 26 more deaths linked to the illness and 1,344 new cases of COVID-19 diagnosed over the last three days.

Officials said they had delivered 101 per cent of available inoculations, accounting for the overage by saying they'd found "efficiencies" when drawing doses from vaccine vials. However, you will need to get the second dose at the location you received your first.

The military has previously been asked to help with the vaccine rollout in First Nations communities in Newfoundland and Labrador and Manitoba. "It is critical that Ontarians continue to follow public health measures to ensure we limit the spread of COVID-19 and keep our communities safe". Ontario has capacity to vaccinate almost 40,000 people per day and is building capacity to triple or quadruple that capacity pending federal government supply.

That variant has so far not been detected in the United States, but "we need to expand greatly our genomic surveillance", Fauci said.

"This is the most challenging of times for us", she said.

"Our call center is still scheduling appointments Monday through Friday, 9 a.m until noon and 1 4 p.m.", said Cox. Orders under the Reopening Ontario Act will continue to be enforced.

"I think importantly, though, we have been focused on long-term care and assisted living where we know the risk is highest and the impact is greatest", she said.

Those outbreaks were at the following facilities: Avalon Gardens, Braddan Private Hospital, Fraserview Intermediate Care Lodge, Good Samaritan Delta View Care Lodge, Menno Home, Peace Arch Hospital Foundation Lodge, Sunrise of Vancouver, Harrison at Elim Village, Waterford Retirement Residence, Williams Lake Seniors Village and the UHNBC Rehab Unit. The intervals will be adjusted down to 21-27 days as quickly as possible, once vaccine supply permits.

Henry said the amount of vaccine the province was expecting in the first week of February has been "dramatically reduced" and it's unclear how much - if any - B.C. will get over the following two weeks.
