David Letterman's new Santa retirement look

David Letterman looks completely unrecognizable while going for a jog on Tuesday (March 22) in St. Bart's.

Letterman hosted the talk show for an astonishing 33-year run before ultimately making the decision to go into retirement, handing his late night spot over to Stephen Colbert.

Even in retirement, David Letterman can't help but grab the spotlight. In September, Letterman was spotted in Manhattan with the same bushy, white facial hair and glasses.

Regardless of the jokes, one thing Twitter users seem to agree on is this: Letterman sure looks happy.

We'd love to get Letterman's thoughts on the fact that Trump is now the Republican frontrunner. He told Whitefish Review about what bothered him the most about his put together look. "And even before that when I was working on local TV". "Everybody hates it. My wife hates it. My son hates it, but it's interesting".

Once active on Twitter, he hasn't tweeted since last July, when he made a surprise appearance at a San Antonio, Texas, show by fellow comedians Martin Short and Steve Martin. "You know what? I used to say, every day, "I am so sick and exhausted of shaving".

"I retired and... I had no regrets. So the day that I shave, I'll call you".
