UFC president Dana White has slammed "the state of boxing" after Floyd Mayweather revealed he has been booked to fight YouTube celebrity Logan Paul.

One thing that can certainly be said is that the fight stands to bring in a lot of revenue.

Logan Paul lost his first professional bout against YouTuber KSI that took place in November previous year.

While there were genuine concerns for the safety of Roy Jones Jr in the lead-up to the Tyson bout, serious questions should be asked of Paul's ability to go one round with Mayweather.

"All you got to do is put than hands together which he is looking more and more comfortable".

Mayweather and Paul have traded shots on social media in recent times, with the undefeated boxer warning the 25-year-old he would get the same treatment as Conor McGregor did in 2017 if they ever locked horns.

Mayweather, 43, has not fought since 2018 when he dismantled Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nakusawa in just 140 seconds. Logan Paul experienced pay-per-view success himself when he generated 1.3 million pay per view buys in his professional boxing debut against KSI, so this is a joining of forces that is likely to generate big numbers across the world.

Despite the California State Athletic Commission and the WBC repeatedly telling anyone who would listen, that the fight was an exhibition that would have no official judging or victor, Tyson and Jones still danced around and put it on a good show for their eight, two minute rounds of exhibition. Not surprisingly, Mayweather is a massive betting favorite to win the fight. It's not easy to beat Floyd Mayweather.
