Dallas Cowboys Rumors: Jason Garrett Defends Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden
Sep 21 2015
The Philadelphia Eagles released their final official injury report in preparation of their Week 2 game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon. Darren McFadden chipped in with 16 yards on six carries.
This week, with the Dallas Cowboys taking on the Philadelphia Eagles, we discuss the game with Brandon Lee Gowton of Bleeding Green Nation. "I've been waiting for this game for a long time", Randle said, while downplaying comments he made about his former teammate now in Philly. "I'm not looking at it as facing the Cowboys".
Nobody in Philadelphia agrees with him. With the Eagles bringing a ton of pressure, the Cowboys offensive line has to be ready.
"But to be in that type of game like that, this early in the season, and experience that, I think it's great for our team". So I just don't see him making it back this year. "Especially the business side".
Discussing the upcoming game with the Eagles. He struggled against Atlanta's Julio Jones and Roddy White in the opener, allowing 10 catches for 179 yards. "What we saw last year as the way Tony Romo can play football". The Cowboys? Not so much. Romo is missing his best receiver after All-Pro Dez Bryant had foot surgery this week. The Eagles should expect a heavy dose of the speedy back. Dunbar will be critical for Romo moving forward without Bryant. Clearly the secondary can't be left to its own devices quite yet, even though they're improved over the sludge the team had past year Rookie pass rusher Randy Gregory won't play. Despite that Butler always found his way on the field, mostly through some big preseason games during his career.
But you'll be happy when it's over, right? DeMarco Murray had only 9 yards on eight carries in his debut with the team. "I'm over it". However, recently Romo has managed to shed his poor reputation and is now one of the more clutch quarterbacks in the league. As noted in the team grades from Monday night's loss to the Falcons, the up-tempo offense never got going in the first half and new featured running back DeMarco Murray had about as small an impact as any could have possibly imagined.
Street deserves plenty of attention in the pre-game build-up to Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET game between the Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, but Williams will be the most important player on offense with Bryant out. It was an impressive season to say the least and his Week 1 performance for the Eagles this season against Atlanta was a major letdown.
Prediction: Both of these teams didn't play their best in Week 1. His absence will be a big loss for head coach Jason Garrett. They also know that the popular belief is that the Cowboys will use their running game to help ease the pain of losing Bryant. But Eagles coach Chip Kelly said he believes Murray when the running back ho-hums the personal significance of this game.
