Couple Gets Married Wearing PPE Kits in COVID Centre

Determined to say "I do", the couple shifted gears and were instead Wednesday in the courtyard of the care center that the bride had been admitted to, suited head to toe in personal protective equipment (PPE).
A bride testing positive for coronavirus did not interrupt wedding plans for a couple in Rajasthan. Reportedly, all COVID-19 protocols were followed for the ceremony.
The wedding which was captured in a video has gone viral on the social media platform and has set an example for others in the society.
A rare incident was reported from Rajasthan's Shahbad area where a couple got married in personal protection equipment (PPE) kit on Sunday. "Respecting their sentiments, the administration gave the approval for the marriage at the centre with all necessary checks", said local health official Sheikh Arif, who supervised the wedding. What the Rajasthan bride wor was not a handsome wedding dress for all to see, but a PPE kit.
NDTV reports that the wedding was held in the presence of one person along with the priest, both of whom were also sporting PPE kits.
The marriage ceremony was conducted following the govt's Covid protocols.
Earlier in the day, Rajasthan government issued an order regarding the entry of over 100 people at the wedding.
"We will do follow-up tests and it is only when she (bride) gets a negative COVID-19 report that we will release her and she can go to her husband's place, " Arif said.
