Codemasters reveals new features F1 2020 game and release date


Two-player split-screen will also make a comeback, having last been seen in F1 2014, while feeder category Formula 2 will also remain in the game having been added past year.

Good news, racing games fans - Codemasters has announced the release date for F1 2020, along with a "major new game mode", the return of two-player split-screen, and "a host of new options" that will let you tinker with the game's challenge levels to suit your preferences. F1 2020 will present a new team management mode along with its already established Career mode. Players will be able to create their own F1 team and take on official teams from the 2020 line-up.

Codemasters has staple-gunned a July 10 release date to the upcoming F1 2020 PlayStation 4, PC, Google Stadia and Xbox One.

In addition, the Hanoi Street Circuit in Vietnam and the Zandvoort Circuit in The Netherlands will be among the racetracks. Finally, in honor of Formula 1's 70th anniversary, a special set of in-game extras will be available to those who preorder F1 2020's Schumacher Deluxe Edition.

This edition's unique content will additionally come in the form of "themed vehicle liveries and driver customization items", such an exclusive podium celebration. The F1 2020 Deluxe Schumacher Edition grants players access to four of Michael Schumacher's most iconic cars including the Jordan 191, Benetton B194, Benetton B195 and the Ferrari F1-2000.
