Activision and Treyarch have released a brand new gameplay trailer for Blackout, Call of Duty: Black Op 4's all-new Battle Royale mode that delivers signature Call of Duty gameplay immersed in classic environments and characters from the Black Ops universe. This goes well beyond the tiny teaser we saw a month ago, and gives us a much better idea of the rhythm and style of the mode. Previously, players got their first look at the mode's map, which looks quite large.
Like what you see?
Set to the tune of "Welcome To the Party" by Diplo, the trailer features two minutes of action that you can expect from the mode, whether you're dropping a rocket launch on a vehicle filled with enemy soldiers, or letting a Monkey Bomb do the dirty work for you. You can check out the Blackout trailer below. Players also get their first look at the slowly closing Nova gas circle that bounds the Blackout playable area, along with the hallucinations they will experience if they find themselves within it. Xbox One and PC players, however, will have to wait until September 17, due to PlayStation's partnership with Activision granting special privileges for PS4 players, but the beta will end on September 20 for all players.
What Call of Duty:Black Ops 4 lacks in single-player content it will more than make up for in multiplayer modes.
