"Voice" co-stars Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani went from competing reality show judges to engaged to be married. And the rest of my life... "I heard a YES!", Shelton tweeted on Tuesday.
On Stefani's birthday on Oct 3, Shelton had posted a photo of them from their music video Happy Anywhere, where she is seen cosying up to him in a corn field. "@blakeshelton yes please", she captioned it.
Famous friends and fans alike rushed to congratulate the couple. "Congratulations! Best news", the singer wrote. Dua Lipa was among the first to comment: "I guess our little interview aged well!" This will be his third marriage. They officially split in 2016. They have three children together.
"In people's defense, I think it's so hard for people to wrap their head around why Gwen would want to be with me". "Everything for me kind of fell apart last February, right after the Grammys, the day after the Grammys", she said.
According to ET, Shelton and Stefani have been dating since November 2015, shortly after he divorced Miranda Lambert and she separated from Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale.
Gwen reposted the image and mentioned that she had said yes to Blake's proposal. In an earlier interview with talk show host Seth Meyers, Gwen had admitted that she had no clue who Blake was, this despite his vast success and popularity in the country music scene. He has, like, a big chain and he pulls it out. And he gets in the back of the truck. "He wraps it around the tree, and my whole family is, like, 'Oh my God, he's a man!'"
