Bethesda developing 'Indiana Jones' game

Stay tuned for more updates on what the developer has planned for this Indiana Jones game.

The game was announced in a short video teaser, one day after the announcement that Lucasfilm Games will be the new identity for titles relating to Lucasfilm properties going forward (including upcoming Star Wars games). A very brief teaser trailer was uploaded to the Bethesda Twitter account that shows various adventuring paraphernalia before revealing Indiana Jones' iconic hat and whip.

It's clearly very, very early days for this Indiana Jones game, but this is really exciting. "It'll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we're very excited to share today's news", said Bethesda. And if you wanted to watch a film that felt a bit like playing Uncharted, you'd stick on three of the four Indiana Jones films. Its most recent additions to the Nazi-slaying series came in 2019 in the form of Wolfenstein: Youngblood and Cyberpilot, but the studio's most recent fully featured AAA outing came in 2017 with Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

The untitled Indiana Jones project will feature an original story, so it's unlikely that Harrison Ford will be making an appearance. The game's Executive Producer is Todd Howard who is best known for his work on the Fallout and Elder Scrolls games.
