Native Instruments, maker of audio devices such as four-channel DJ controllers, has warned users that macOS Big Sur can potentially physically damage equipment.

Jamf, the standard in Apple Enterprise Management, today announced it is prepared to support and extend key functionality in Apple's macOS Big Sur update, which became available today. And app icons and sounds have been updated throughout. To do that, head over to System Preferences Software Update. And under the covers, macOS Big Sur provides developers with their first chance to create apps that run on both Intel- and M1-based Macs.

"With built-in translation, Safari can detect and translate entire web pages from seven languages, and new Safari extensions are easily discoverable for download through the Mac App Store with categories including editorial spotlights and top charts". And not just one, but in a company with AirTags, which will allow you to find any device attached to them. Detailed interior maps help you navigate major airports and shopping centers, and for the first time, cycling and electric vehicle trips can be routed on a Mac and then sent directly to your iPhone to have when on the go.

New features and additions in tow!

You can learn what Jamf makes of the macOS Big Sur switch in its statement. It brings with it a fresh new design, as well as multiple enhancements to Safari, Messages, Maps, and privacy. Furthermore, you get the option to hide buttons and controls if you want.

Apple has also added a redesigned photo picker to make sharing pictures and videos easier.

"The all-new Control Center gives users quick access to controls for Do Not Disturb, displays, keyboard brightness, and more, right from the menu bar". It also has these new interactive notifications along with new widgets.
