Apple to release iPhone 8, 8 Plus with a noble cause

Apple has officially announced a new, special edition (PRODUCT) RED iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus that will be available later this week.

The new red iPhones will be enclosed in glass, with a matching aluminium band, and - in a departure from last year's red models - a black front.

Apart from iPhone 8, Apple also launched a new (PRODUCT) RED iPhone X Leather Folio which will be available beginning Tuesday.

Earlier today we reported that Apple is set to launch iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus PRODUCT RED edition in partnership with RED, a nonprofit organisation that works to combat AIDS and HIV in Africa.

Apple is also launching a new red leather iPhone X case.

The red iPhone 8 comes in two variants - 64 GB and 256 GB with a starting price of $699 in the US.

There's plenty of reason to pick up a (PRODUCT) RED iPhone aside from its (very) red color scheme, too.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus features a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch display respectively, with black bezels around the screen.

Apple has just taken off the wraps from cool red-colored iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus variants.

Add the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus to the list of devices you can get in bright red. After all the complaining that Apple endured with last year's (PRODUCT) RED iPhone 7 release, it's good to see that the company actually listened to its critics.

The latest iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus do not bring any differences other than the color option. The new red colored iPhone 8s will join the existing colors which are available in space gray, silver, and gold colors. Since it first partnered with (RED) in 2006, Apple says it's donated over $160 million to Global Fund.
