Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) loses overshadowed gains on Nasdaq- ADBE, AAPL, ORCL, YHOO, DELL, & MSFT

With another 19 cents gain The Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE) shares maintained their winning spot among tech sector stocks today, however the NASDAQ computer index (^IXK) still did not exhibit any noticeable rise. The index closed at 1.51, i.e. 20 points down from its previous close.

Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE)’s 6% gain was a repercussion of quarterly earnings (announced Thursday) that clearly eclipsed projections. The gain in EPS (ignoring extraordinary items) was 61 cents against an analyst’s estimate of 57 cents. Actual revenues differed by merely $0.5 billion.

Among other notable gainers were included Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL), Yahoo Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) was up 1.5% to $19.64.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) weighs 3.76% of the index and decline 4% today as UBS lowered its target price to $700 before market opening. The conservative stance was in anticipation iPhone production delays during the first quarter of 2013 and the cannibalizing of the iPad sales.

A $2.93 in Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM) was the biggest per share decline, however restricted trading was not enough to shake the market. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), the second highest component of the index after Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) traded 42.07 million with a 0.33 cent decline. Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) traded a volume of 18.7 million with a 0.10cents (0.95%) decline.

Also there was a 20 point decline on Nasdaq Composite Index (^RIXF). Two other important indexes The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index (SOX) and Morgan Stanley High Tech 35 Index also booked losses before the day close.

The shares of Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE) were up by 5.71% to $37.56. The shares of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) were down by 3.76% to $509.79. The shares of Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL) were up by 1.11% to $31.96. The shares of Yahoo Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) were up by 1.5% to $19.64. The shares of Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) were down by 0.95% to $10.43. The shares of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) were down by 1.11% to $26.81.
