Boston, MA, 07/15/2013 (nysepost) – There are things that sound unbelievable and then there are things that are outright ridiculous. A Tennessee lawyer has blamed Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) for giving him easy access to porn and getting addicted to it. He alleges that it was because of Apple that he began desiring younger women, had a fall-out with his wife and also suffered from emotional angst due to the failure of his marriage. According to Chris Sevier, the company makes it very easy to view any kind of pornography.

The reason for addiction

Sevier has demanded that Apple should include a porn filter on its products and feels that the company has been negligent with allowing users to access porn content on the internet. He says he loves Apple but is concerned about the well being of the children in the country and is also of the opinion that American values have to be furthered. He claimed that he happened to mistype something in Facebook and landed on a porn site instead. He got carried away with viewing the content and which eventually led to the addiction.

Troubled life due to Apple

The story does not really end here. He says that his marriage failed because of the emotional distress that he went through which also led to his hospitalization. The line between his normal life and internet pornography blurred and eventually led to his downfall. Adding to this he says that APPL should have known that such a thing would happen as millions of people across the globe are addicted to pornography. According to him, Apple should warn consumers about the potential dangers of accessing online pornography sites.

Apple has been dealing with a lot of lawsuits lately but this one takes the cake by any standards. There sure is a lot that corporates have to deal with but Apple may never have factored something like this into any of their business planning. Goes to show, no matter how much foresight you have, when it comes to business, there will always be eventualities.
