Yeah I'll beat Oprah but I don't think she'll run, says Trump

President Donald Trump says he would beat Oprah Winfrey in a presidential contest but doesn't think she will run.

Donald Trump claims he could beat Oprah Winfrey in a presidential election.

After accepting the Cecil B DeMille award on Sunday night, Winfrey told the story of a black woman, Recy Taylor, who was raped by six white men in Alabama in 1944.

In the days following the original reports against Winstein, Oprah addressed the allegations on Facebook and said that she was still "processing the accounts of Harvey Weinstein's disgusting behavior".

The President noted that he and his family were on one of the final episodes of her syndicated talk show.

Last fall, Winfrey had said she has no intention of running for political office.

"This is the most hypocritical and clueless statement in her regrettable time in the White House".

Gayle King has revealed Oprah Winfrey is not "seeking" to become America's next president, but she is "intrigued" by the concept.

The White House has already chimed in on Monday, welcoming Winfrey as a potential Trump rival. TVhosts were still fired up about her speech, which was premised around the awakening post sexual abuse revelations about film mogul Harvey Weinstein, but which ended up promising a new day, rendered in the rousing style associated with former President Barack Obama.

In fact, King says that Oprah didn't even intend for her speech to be "political". We'd like to add that she's a total inspiration as well. "I just hope that Recy Taylor died knowing that her truth, like the truth of so many other women who were tormented in those years, and even now tormented, goes marching on".

Soon after the speech, Winfrey told Bloomberg that she does not plan to run.

The President has spoken warmly of Ms Winfrey in the past, tweeting in 2012: "I adore Oprah". 'She would absolutely do it'. "It's up to the people". I do think that.

You could gauge how well she delivered her speech with the audience's reaction.

Winfrey, 63, however, is not running - at least, officially.

"I had never seen anybody as good as her".

Much of the awards ceremony had that focus.

"Politics is such a brutal game in the United States right now".
