The news comes just three weeks since Osaka's successful run to her second straight major title at the Australian Open, which launched her to World No.1.

The 21-year-old was victorious in the Australian Open last month, to add to the US Open title she won in September last year. She also thanked Bajin and wished him "all the best in the future".

Osaka and Bajin joined hands in December 2017, subsequently, the Japanese went high up the hill on the WTA ladder. He thanked her and wrote: "I wish you nothing but the best as well".

Bajin replied to Osaka with a tweet of his own. What a ride that was. Before associating with Osaka, Bajin served as the primary hitting partner for former world number one Serena Williams and as a hitting partner for Caroline Wozniacki, Sloane Stephens and Victoria Azarenka, WTA reported. Osaka's Twitter feed lit up in response to her announcement, with several memes expressing widespread disbelief - including a shrugging Barack Obama, a confused Joey from American sitcom "Friends" and a Minions character screaming "WHAAAAT?"
