According to a Pick 4 lottery spokesman in a statement to The New York Times, Brown's success is all the more shocking considering how the odds of winning the Pick 4 lottery are reportedly about 1 in 10,000.

Some people have all the luck.

The victor, Deborah Brown, said she purchased 20 Pick 4 tickets at a gas station in Chesterfield County, choosing the numbers 1-0-3-1 on February 11, WTVR reported Friday. She made a decision to purchase 10 more tickets later in the day - again going for the number combo of 1-0-3-1, NBC News reports.

A Virginia woman had the lucky streak of a lifetime and it earned her a $150,000 lottery win in the Virginia lottery after playing the same number times 30 times over, NBC News reports.

"A family member gave me the numbers over 25 years ago and I faithfully play them", he said.

Brown spent $30 in total for the tickets but won $5,000 for each, the highest available prize for a $1 ticket. She recently picked her check for $150,000.

Brown originally bought 20 tickets for $1 each with her winning number combination but she had a hunch and later bought an additional 10 tickets.

"I almost had a heart attack", Brown told the Virginia Lottery.

Though Brown says that she doesn't have any plans for her winnings just yet, she says she might use the money to do some home renovations.

A Virginia Lottery representative said, "Ms".
