Wizards trade Howard to Grizzlies for Miles

Howard played just nine games for Washington last season, his first with the team, because of injury. In return, the Grizzlies will send CJ Miles to the Wizards.

Dwight Howard is on the move and could soon be without a team.

The Washington Wizards agreed to trade veteran center Dwight Howard to the Memphis Grizzlies. Bear in mind, there's a kicker - the Grizz have no intention of keeping Howard on the books, according to who else but ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The dominos of National Basketball Association free agency continue to fall as DeMarcus Cousins is headed to the Los Angeles Lakers on a one-year, $3.5 million deal, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

In a separate move, the Grizzlies are expected to waive shooting guard Avery Bradley ahead of his guarantee deadline, reports David Aldridge of The Athletic. The 6-foot-11 player had his best years with the Orlando Magic and struggled from there on with his concurrent ballclubs.

Bradley split last season between Memphis and the LA Clippers. It is possible there is no longer a marketplace of teams interested in signing the former All-NBA center. He averaged 5.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 14.1 rebounds in 40 games for Toronto.
