Linkin Park's Carpool Karaoke drops online 'dedicated to the memory of Chester Bennington'

Only a few days before the death of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington on July 20, the band filmed an episode of James Corden's Carpool Karaoke: The Series.

Bennington, Mike Shinoda, and Joe Hahn filmed their ride through Los Angeles with comedian Ken Jeong, a self-professed Linkin Park fanatic.

The family of the heavy metal superstar gave their blessing to release the footage onto the band's Facebook page, where it surfaced on Thursday.

Chester Bennington, Linkin Park, and Ken Jeong in "Carpool Karaoke". They kicked it off with OutKast's "Hey Ya", before moving on to Linkin Park's "Numb" and "In the End", as well as the Red Hot Chili Peppers classic "Under the Bridge". He's laughing, smiling and having fun singing with the group.

At one point Bennington also tries to teach Jeong how to "scring", or scream sing, his trademark on the band's songs, admitting after the actor successfully pulled it off that it was "the greatest day of his life".

"So one of my kids loves sports". Because Lilly is really curious, asking 'Daddy how do you write songs?

"In memory of Chester Bennington: March 20, 2017 - July 20, 2017".

Bennington is survived by wife Talinda and six children: Jaime, Isiah, Draven Sebastian, Tyler Lee, and twin daughters Lily, and Lila. A tribute show at the Hollywood Bowl on October 27 will feature members of Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me the Horizon, and System of a Down performing in Bennington's memory.
