Warriors G Curry (ankle) ruled out vs. Hornets

Curry hobbled after Warriors roar back on Pelicans 125-115

Curry was dealing with a right hand contusion through the last four games, but this can prove an injury much more hard to recover from, as it impedes his lateral mobility and the explosion off his right foot. Curry was competing until the final buzzer, though, and it led to him suffering a bum wheel.

Curry was asked if he knew how bad it was considering his history of ankle injuries. He landed awkwardly on his right ankle and twisted his foot awkwardly.

Curry spoke the assembled media in New Orleans and addressed his injury. Postgame X-rays were negative and results of an MRI exam are expected back on Tuesday.

The two-time NBA MVP left Smoothie King Center on a walking boot and crutches, though, which can't make Warriors fans feel good. The Hornets have been a great home team so far, but I think the Warriors still get the win and cover when it's all said and done. "But all things considered, I should - knowing I've been through this before on this ankle and knowing the surgical repairs from like five, six years ago are fine - I should be able to bounce back". I got caught on E'Twaun's shoe as I went by him and couldn't catch myself.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (ankle) will not play Wednesday against the Charlotte Hornets, reports Chris Hayes of ESPN. This looks like the loss, even without Curry playing.
