Coast guard searching Lake Erie for 6 people after plane goes missing

The group was in Cleveland to attend the Cleveland Cavaliers' game. The pilot of the missing plane is a Columbus business executive, according to media reports. The plane took off at 10:57 p.m. Thursday night, but shortly thereafter all contact with the aircraft was lost. No sign of debris have been found so far.

Judge lifts execution stay for ex-soldier in military prison

Wilson's sister, Honey Rosalie Schlehuber of Chickasha, Oklahoma, told The Fayetteville Observer she would like to witness Gray's execution and that her entire family has struggled since the murder. Civilian courts also sentenced Gray to eight life terms for two other killings and other rapes. Gray, 51, is among six people on the US military's death row, according to the Death Penalty Information Center, a nonprofit research group that opposes capital punishment.

Minimum wage to increase in 21 states next year

For businesses with less than 10 employees, wages will increase to $10.50 an hour. January 1, 2017, low wage workers in 22 states, 33 cities and four counties will see pay increases, and low wage workers in three states, 16 cities, and four counties will receive raises later in 2017.
