22 homes destroyed in northern Nevada wildfires

Highway 395 between Reno and Carson City. Washoe County has declared a state of emergency as hundreds of firefighters battle a wildland blaze south of Reno that has destroyed multiple homes in the Washoe Valley. Cal Fire says that in addition to the mandatory evacuation orders, "Voluntary evacuations have been issued for an additional 500 residences". Highway 89 is closed from Camp Richardson to Meeks Bay.
