Missouri couple killed in crash during Disney vacation

The family was headed to the beach Sunday when the crash happened. Family friend Loni Burnside Eaton said that friends of relatives of the girls were on their way to Florida to tell the kids that their parents had died. One of the last things they posted to Facebook was a family photo with Buzz Lightyear at Disney World. The Daily Journal says that everyone in the Moyers' vehicle was wearing their seat belts.

Municipal Election Drawing Near, Absentee Ballot Applications Accepted

Unlike absentee voting , early voting is for every registered voter, said an announcement from the town. OH military and overseas voters can now cast ballots for the November presidential election. Washington Monument closed indefinitely

One of the D.C.'s iconic attractions will remain on the shelf indefinitely as the officials seek a permanent fix for the balky elevator at the Washington Monument. In a statement today, Norton said that the "timing of this indefinite closure of the Washington Monument could not be worse". The monument, which is also the world's tallest obelisk, was closed in July to replace a pulley bearing, and shut down in May because of a faulty computer chip in a control panel, Litterst said.

Hundreds of mourners have packed a church for a funeral honoring an unarmed black man who was fatally shot by a white Tulsa, Oklahoma, police officer.
