Outside the store, members of the Nation of Islam renewed calls for boycotts of businesses. Police protests were calm and lightly attended in Denver on Monday, when a group of about 50 waved signs decrying police killings while a smaller group entered a fourth day of quietly mourning blacks killed by police in the previous year.
At one point numerous police cars, with their blue lights flashing, sped off down the street where a smaller group of protesters had walked. As the woman stood motionless, two of the officers, clad all in black armor and moving swiftly in tandem, reached the woman, grabbed her by the arms and pulled her back behind the line of riot police.
Her appeal against her conviction, filed just last month, alleges that the 35-year sentence was "perhaps the most unjust sentence in the history of the military justice system" given the nature of her offence, which helped bring to light a number of serious abuses and powers.
Black Lives Matter protesters condemned the Dallas killings, calling the attack on law enforcement a tragedy not just for those affected but also for the nation. Well I say Obama is guilty of this, when he rushed to judgement in Cambridge, and in Ferguson, and in the Freddie Gray case, and then the Trayvon Martin case.

"This time, it was used to deliver the bomb that killed one of the shooters - likely an unprecedented move in American policing", writes journalist Cyrus Farivar for the ArsTechnica blog.
Monday's protests began at Lenox Mall and then moved two and a half miles to the Governor's Mansion on West Paces Ferry. Reed also thanked former Atlanta mayor and UN Ambassador Andrew Young for speaking to officers about organized protests.
