Islamic State attacks YPG-held town at Turkish border

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the Kurdish forces and their Arab allies successfully pushed back a fierce IS offensive by Saturday night with backing from the US-led coalition. Gen. Sergei Kuralenko, head of the Russian center said Turkey had staged an attack of armed units supported by artillery on the Syrian town of El Abyad.
