Ubisoft Has More AAA Games Coming Soon, But Not Skull & Bones

Ubisoft delays Skull & Bones again and won't show it at E3 2019

For a game that looked an bad lot like a rehash of the good bits from Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Skull & Bones is taking a very long time to arrive in stores and has been delayed yet again. Ubisoft says it has four triple-A games that will release this fiscal year, meaning before the end of March 2020.

Ubisoft has today made it their turn to go through their financial results for the year, and to predict what will happen over the next financial year.

"We're going to batten down the hatches and push back on the game's arrival-this is a challenging news for us all, but it's what's needed to make Skull & Bones as awesome as it can be!" The bad news is that Skull & Bones has been delayed again. I remember playing it back at E3 2017, where it was brilliant as a co-op game that had my team smashing our way past a bunch of fellas that were seated opposite us.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint was revealed last week and is a follow-up to Ghost Recon Wildlands that will be released on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on October 4, 2019. The remaining three are unannounced titles that will be released in Q4 FY2020, which is between January 1st and March 31st, 2020.

Hopefully, we'll hear more on Skull and Bones and a potential release date at E3 2019 next month.

Ubisoft's had a good year so far. We had some small hope yesterday that a new Splinter Cell was in development, but it turned out it was just a Ubisoft dev "joking" around. More information at E3 and gamescom this year seems likely.
