On the Republican National Convention's second night, two of his children Donald Trump Jr. and Tiffany Trump brought the crowd to its feet, revealing personal details and anecdotes.

GOP divisions erupted on the convention floor Monday afternoon after party officials adopted rules by a shouted voice vote and denied the roll-call vote demanded in lusty shouts by delegates opposing Trump. Republicans will be closely watching House Speaker Paul Ryan, who has endorsed Trump despite disagreeing with him on numerous issues. "With your vote today, this stage of the presidential process has come to a close". Four of his children joined the state's delegation on the convention floor for the historic moment and appeared overwhelmed with emotion.
Both Mr Ryan and Mr McConnell need Mr Trump to do well in the November election as they seek to preserve majorities in Congress.
